Iwakuni (岩国市, Iwakuni-shi) is a city located in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan.
The city’s main attraction is the Kintai-bashi Bridge, one of the three finest bridges in Japan.
The area is also home to Kikko Park, just across Kintai-bashi Bridge; Iwakuni Shirohebi Museum, where visitors can see the albino Japanese rat snake–a protected species; Iwakuni Castle, which features sword displays as well as traditional paintings and calligraphy; Tokotoko Train, an amusement train; and Underground Kingdom Mikawa Mu Valley, an adventure theme park set inside a cave.
